I live in both worlds — the engine room and the art department. As IT Administrator Lead at MIST VFX — a studio whose work has reached the big screen, including Avatar: The Way of Water — I run the infrastructure, servers, and render-pipeline backbone that a high-throughput visual-effects studio depends on.
Protecting client content is central to that work. I own cybersecurity for the organisation and have led MIST VFX through multiple TPN (Trusted Partner Network) assessments — the Motion Picture Association's content-security programme — reaching TPN Gold. That means hardening the studio to the standard major studios require before they trust you with their footage.
But my roots are creative. I started in VFX and editing, and I still bring that eye to the table — from post-production to digital marketing. With 13+ years spanning Windows Server, clustering, SQL Server, disaster recovery, and network administration on the technical side, plus compositing, editing, and brand-building on the creative side, I'm the rare person who speaks fluently to both engineers and artists.
